Major events of the session: {5th day and night.}

After defeating the band of thieves that ambushed the party in a ravine, they decided to exit the ravine and camp about a mile north of the entrance to the ravine. They left their unconscious prisoner tied up and unconscious. During the night, while Throm was on watch, an owl pounced upon a rat scavaging in the dark. Throm, annoyed that the owl beat him to the rat, slung a stone at the owl knocking a few feathers loose. This probably angered the owl who subsequently dive-bombed Throm and struck him in the face with the dead and bloody rat.

Moments later a large purplish worm (a smaller relative of the true Purple Worm) attacks Throm -- and misses. Others wake up and join the fray, eventually bringing down the big bug. []

The next morning the party notices an owl in the mid distance and moves toward it. It flies away toward the south. The party follows. Again the owl flies further away. Eventually, the party continues south until, cresting a small rise, they observe a very small collection of buildings that seems in the right place for the thieves base. They decide to wait for dark.

After surveying the scene, they approach the smithy and knock on the back door. A dwarf answers the door swinging his axe. He stumbles and falls on his face, and doesn't live long enough to ever get up again. The party searches the place and finds a trap door in the floor. There are some weapons inside.

Next, the party positions themselves around the tavern. A couple of them climb up to an upper floor window and get inside. There they find several rooms with locked doors, except for one. Indside that room they find the unconscious body of a young man. Reviving him, they free Alabaster and exit the structure.

Back down on the ground, everyone is surprised when two of the enemy walk out the back door to find a bunch of adventurers creeping up on the back door. Out of time, we stop for this session.
